My father planned a surprise family holiday to Langkawi last January. We were so excited. We had never been there.

We had a nice smooth drive from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Kedah before boarding the ferry to Langkawi. We checked in at our hotel. We spent the next three days driving around Langkawi, visiting the beaches and swimming in the sea.

We visited Kuah, the main town, on the fourth day. Sister liked shopping fort souvenirs at the duty-free shops. We also enjoyed visiting the many historical sited in Langkawi.

Langkawi had something for everyone. It was a perfect holiday.

Last summer, I visited my native village at Kota Bharu, Kelantan which is quite a distance from the city. It is a five-hour journey by train.

My grandmother prepared delicious and mouth-watering dishes for me, and I relished every bite of the food. I spent most of the time, visiting fields with my grandfather and learning from him about crops and the seasons they are produced in.

I also played a lot with my village friends. It was routine every night to listen to a story from my grandmother and sink to sleep.

Last weekend, my family and I went for a picnic. Taman Tasik Perdana, Putrajaya was our picnic spot. It was a beautiful place for enjoying a picnic.

We started our journey early in the morning by car. It took one and half an hour to reach there. It was a distance of 55.5 km from our home to our picnic spot.

We spent the time joyfully. It was an amazing place to explore. We also enjoyed the glorious sunset. Then we returned home with a very happy mind.

A Family Picnic

My family had a picnic at the lake park last Friday. My sister woke up early to prepare curry puffs, kuih melaka, mee soto and nasi lemak.

My sister packed the food and bottles of the Tarik and kopi into a picnic basket. We loaded everything into the car.

We drove fourteen minutes to the picnic site. When we arrived, my parents chose a spot and placed a mat on the ground. We placed the food on the mat.

After some time on the climbing equipment, my younger brother and I got hungry. We dug into the mouth-watering food. Everyone thanked my mother for the tasty food.

A Family Picnic

Last summer our family went to a memorable picnic at a nearby community park.

We chose the community park of our locality that is situated right beside the limpid brook. The park had a children’s play area where the kids of our family played on slides, swings and other play equipment.

We carried our lunch to the park and decided to have it at the separate picnic area, which we had reserved for that day. After lunch, we sat near the brook, fed the ducks and squirrels and took a walk along the trail. The sunset seen above the brook during twilight was magical and we returned before it was dark.

Even if the family picnic is over, the memories of it live on. All of the wonderful memories we made together, will live on in our hearts forever.

A Family Picnic

It was during the long weekend last month and we decided to utilize the vacation fully on the outskirts at a nature park at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

Surrounded by towering Pine grove, the picnic area was serene with only the chirping of the birds penetrating the silence. The murmuring cascade nearby added to the charm of the forest, and we made sure to take a dip into the pool formed beneath the waterfall.

The hike to the falls was easy for all the members of family and especially my little nephew was overwhelmed. Meanwhile my brother was busy barbecuing the chicken with his wife and with it, our lunch was sumptuous.

We’ll be planning our next family picnic soon to celebrate our love, togetherness, and happiness.

A Class Trip : Taman Tasik Cyberjaya

Last month, my class went on our class trip. We decided to visit Taman Tasik Cyberjaya in Sepang, Selangor.

I was really excited about the trip as I love nature. We chartered a bus, and it took us one hours to reach the Taman Tasik Cyberjaya.

We all walked around admiring the many beautiful exotic trees and flowers. I liked strolling by the lake the most. Some of my classmates rented small boats and rowed around the lake.

We all had a great time. It truly was a memorable class trip. Next time, I’ll visit the bird park and butterfly garden.

A Class Trip: Stadium Cheras

I feel very happy to go on a trip to the football stadium at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. This was a big surprise for us, to be able to watch an important match with classmates.

Of course, I watched many matches with my family before, but this time the experience is different because it is with my teachers and classmates.

I enjoy this experience so much, and for sure I want to repeat this experience in other activities. It gives great psychological comfort and a boost of activity that helps to return to study with full vitality and activity.

A Class Trip: Taman Bunga Malacca

On Friday of April 21,2025, I went to Taman Bunga Malacca for a school field trip.

This was one of the things I enjoyed in nature. It is great to find large green areas. This helped me relax a lot.

It is great to go through this experience and go to one of the most beautiful parks that contain very beautiful gardening works and organized views of trees and roses.

Of course, I would love to go back on a school trip to the park.

A Visit to Zoo Negara

Last June, I visited Zoo Negara with my friends. We were eager to see the animals.

We went to see the big felines first. We saw the majestic lions and magnificent tigers roaming around their enclosures. We were impressed by their big teeth.

Next, we headed to the aviary. We saw peacock spreading its beautiful and spectacular tail. We took many pictures of it. We also photographed a few monkeys eating some fruit.

After that, we saw the animal show. It was my favourite part of the visit.

A Visit to Zoo

Last Sunday, I visited the zoo with my family. It was a perfect sunny day to visit the zoo.

We reached the zoo at 8 am. We entered the zoological garden and came across a beautiful lake filled with aquatic birds like ducks and white swans.

As we moved further, we saw an enclosure with fowls. Parrots, pigeons, eagles, and sparrows of different colours were chirping. The enchanted music sung by the birds delighted us.

In the next enclosed space, we saw leopards and lions, tigers, and tigress, resting and roaming about. The roars of the lion were deafening.

Visiting a zoo makes us learn a lot many things. We get to learn about the tastes and habits of so many varieties of birds, animals, reptiles, and beasts.

A Visit to Zoo

Last January, I visited zoo with my friends.

The sight of majestic elephants swirling their trunks in the air was a delight to watch. Along with this, the sight of bears happily playing with each other filled our hearts with warmth.

On our next halt, we saw a big aquarium with fishes of many glistening colours and sizes. Their fidgeting in the water was very delightful to watch. We also saw a bunch of dolphins playing around happily in the water.

We had a great time that we spent inside the zoo. I feel like visiting the zoo again and again in my life.

My Favourite Film: Finding Nemo

My favourite film is Finding Nemo. It is an animated film.

The film’s main character is Nemo, a clownfish who lives in the Great Barrier Reef. He has a stunted fin, but he is still able to live life to the fullest.

One day, Nemo is captured by some scuba divers. Nemo’s dad, Marlin dan his friend Dory travel across the ocean to find Nemo.

I love how the film shows the relationship between an overprotective father and his adventurous son. My own father treats me like that too.

This film has a heart-warming story and brilliant characters. I love it so much.

My Favourite Film: Avatar

My favourite film is Avatar, which was directed by James Cameron. It is an action and fantasy film.

The film is about how a human, Jack Sully, who had a permanent disability, saved a planet, Pandora. There were many scenes that I like. When Jack nearly died because of the war, the goddess saved him and he was changed into a Pandora, who had blue skin and yellow eyes.

My favourite character of course is Jack. Jack was a brave, clever young man. I felt very surprised that I could enjoy this kind of great effects! I would definitely recommend this film to my friends.

My Favourite Film: Brave Heart

My favourite movie is Braveheart. It is an American epic historical drama.

Directed by Mel Gibson, “Braveheart” is about a war for freedom between the Scottish and English. The plot is based on the life of the protagonist, William Wallace, (played by Mel Gibson) who is single-minded and leads the Scottish army to freedom.

Braveheart is considered a classic for a reason. It is a very strong picture with an enthralling yet easy-to-follow storyline, good actors, lovable characters, great battles, and gritty action scenes. The movie was a surprise winner of the Academy Award 1995 for best picture.

Still, for the majority of the viewers, Braveheart is, and always will be an excellent piece of entertainment.
