A’Famosa Resort, Theme Park, Hotel, Outlet, Golf Malacca

This is one of the earliest of the bunch, opening its doors way back in 1992 as a water park. It has since expanded and is now home to a number of different parks.

Temple of Supreme Bliss in the Hokkien dialect, Kek Lok Si Temple is a crowd puller and famous tourist’s attraction during the CNY. Annual display lighting showcases more than 10,000 lights. It is believed this act of faith will bring them peace, luck and prosperity.

The glowing tradition which was considered one of the major events during Lunar New Year was to attract thousands of visitors yearly.

On Chinese New Year’s Eve on Feb, the 126-year-old monastery will be illuminated all the way up to the 33.6m-tall Kuan Yin statue and pavilion. From Feb 4 till Feb 19, the temple will be open to the public from 7am until midnight. Usual Kek Lok Si Temple opening hours are from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Penang Hot Air Ballon Fiesta 2019

Penang Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (HAB Fiesta) returns! Here’s another chance for you to float above the Padang Polo (Polo Ground) in Penang on a hot air balloon. Held in conjunction with Chinese New Year, what better way to celebrate the festivity with your family and friends where there’s loads of fun and excitement for all ages on both days.

The Penang Hot Air Balloon Fiesta will see numerous hot air balloons by international and local balloonists over the 2-day festival, together with family-friendly activities, creative workshops and more!

Information About Penang Hot Air Ballon Fiesta 2019

The highlight of the event is colorful hot air balloons displayed during the morning and evening sessions. There will also be ‘Night Glow’ shows featuring balloons lighted up with music and light accompaniment to fascinate spectators. Several international balloonists from Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Japan, Philippines and Thailand will participate and special shaped balloons will be featured.

Over this two-day event, ticketed tethered balloon rides will be available where one can go up as high as 60 feet. There will also be the ‘cold inflation’ activity where anyone can walk into a balloon envelope that’s filled with cold air as it lies on the ground. 

The annual HAB Fiesta sees over 100,000 visitors from around the region and abroad. There are 15 hot air balloons floating above and displayed, with special shaped ones. Visitors made a long beeline to the ticketing booths for their tethered rides from as early as 2am. All that waiting for the awesome tethered ride was worth the while claimed most of them.

Aside from the balloon displays, there is also the ‘night glow’ shows, free flying balloons and cold inflation where anyone can walk into a balloon envelope that’s filled with cold air as it lies on the ground.
