This is the largest butterfly garden in the world spanning over 80,000 sq ft of landscaped garden with over 5,000 live butterflies, exotic plants, butterfly-host plants and ferns. Other attractions are japanese koi fish, fresh water turtles, live insects and a museum with a large collection of butterflies and insects from around the world.
Using this free-flight concept, all the birds here are able to breed naturally. As it is only a 10 minute drive from the city centre of KL, this garden has a massive space that goes on for about 20.9 acres.
The park is divided into 4 zones with zone 1 and 2 making up to be the free-flight zone; zone 3 is the Hornbill Park and zone 4 is where all the birds are placed in separated cages.
With an interesting set-up in Zone 1, 2 and 3, birds in this particular area are let free in the aviary which resembles their natural habitat.
